La educación y la sociedad constituyen un binomio inseparable y de influencia mutua. La sociedad establece las metas y valores que el sistema educativo debe transmitir, mientras que la educación actúa como el principal agente de socialización, reproducción cultural y movilidad social. En la actualidad, este binomio se enfrenta al desafío de preparar a los ciudadanos para un mundo globalizado, digitalizado y en constante cambio, siendo la educación un motor clave para el desarrollo sostenible y la equidad.
